Learning communication for a neurotypical individual and a neurodivergent or autistic individual is so important across all aspects of life. For individuals with autism who have aggressive or lack of functional communication is very hard for them to have a lack of communication because it can escalate those maladaptive behaviors and can increase over time due to having a lack of communication to express their wants and needs especially in an unfamiliar environment.
Communication is critical for socialization and essential for success in school and other relevant environments.
